The characteristics of the screw conveyor are: simple structure, small cross-sectional size, good sealing, reliable operation, low manufacturing cost, convenient intermediate loading and unloading, the conveying direction can be reversed, and it can also be conveyed in two opposite directions at the same time. During the conveying process, the material can also be stirred, mixed, heated and cooled. The material flow rate can be adjusted through the loading and unloading gate. However, it is not suitable to convey perishable, sticky, easy to agglomerate and large materials. During the conveying process, the material is easy to break, and the spiral and the trough are easy to wear. The unit power is large. During use, the sealing of the trough and the appropriate gap between the spiral and the trough must be maintained.
The vertical screw conveyor is suitable for short-distance vertical transportation. The spiral of the bendable screw conveyor is composed of a flexible shaft and a synthetic rubber blade, which is easy to bend and can be arranged arbitrarily according to the site or process requirements for spatial transportation. The blades of the screw conveyor are available in pull-out type and full pull-out type. The pull-out type can be made into any thickness and specification size, and the full pull type is not suitable for making non-standard spirals.
From the perspective of the displacement direction of the conveyed materials, Hongtai screw conveyors are divided into two types: horizontal screw conveyors and vertical screw conveyors. They are mainly used for horizontal conveying and vertical lifting of various loose materials such as powders, granules and small blocks. The screw conveyor is not suitable for conveying special materials that are easy to deteriorate, sticky, easy to agglomerate or high temperature, afraid of pressure, and highly corrosive.
The screw conveyor is generally composed of three parts: the conveyor body, the inlet and outlet, and the drive device; the spiral blades of the screw conveyor have three forms: solid spiral surface, belt spiral surface and blade spiral surface. Among them, the blade spiral surface is relatively less used and is mainly used to convey materials with high viscosity and compressibility. Compared with other conveying equipment, the screw conveyor has the advantages of small cross-sectional size of the whole machine, good sealing performance, stable and reliable operation, multi-point loading and unloading in the middle, safe operation, and easy maintenance.
